1          NAME

   The League to be called ‘NOTTINGHAMSHIRE FEDERATION BOWLS LEAGUE’

 

2          OBJECT

   The League will run Leagues that are detailed in the League Rules and Competitions        that are detailed in the Competition Rules, both appended to and forming part of this    Constitution.

 

3          LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP

All Clubs shall pay an annual subscription as approved at each League Annual            General Meeting.

Clubs wishing to join the League should apply in writing, or email, to the League Secretary at least FOURTEEN DAYS PRIOR to the League’s Annual General Meeting.  All Clubs must pay the fees and charges as prescribed by the Annual General Meeting before they can take part in any of the League’s activities.

 

4          AGM

  

The League will hold its Annual General Meeting in NOVEMBER of each year.

  Each Club will be entitled to send TWO voting representatives to the Annual General Meeting.

  At the AGM: –

            

All fees and charges, prize money and honoraria to be agreed for the following year. 

The Executive Committee Members to be elected for the following year.

 

5          EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

   The Executive Committee (known as the ‘Committee’) shall consist: – Chairman,         League Secretary and Treasurer and other Members as deemed appropriate.

 

The Officers and Committee shall hold office for ONE YEAR but are eligible for re-  election.

 

The League Secretary shall call committee meetings when it is deemed necessary, or at the request of the Chairman.

 

6          FIXTURES

  The League will distribute Fixtures Matrixes to Clubs as soon as possible after the AGM.

 

  It will be the responsibility of each Club to contact the others in their Division to       confirm dates and times for all matches. This contact should be made within one   calendar month of the date of the fixtures being distributed.

 

  In the case of the Saturday Leagues, If no contact is made within the month, a    2.00pm start on the date stated in the matrix will be assumed as confirmed.

 

  Any Club experiencing difficulties should contact their Divisional Secretary who may    refer the matter to the Committee.

 

7          OFFICIALS OF MEMBER CLUBS

   The League will publish lists of Club information at appropriate times. In order to keep            these lists up to date, Clubs are requested to inform the League Secretary of any        changes to this information at the earliest possible moment.

 

8          TROPHIES AND PRESENTATIONS

           For each Division of each League and each Competition, perpetual trophies will be         awarded to the winners. All trophies are     formally presented at the Annual General            Meeting for photographic purposes and then the Committee will retain the trophies    each year.

 

9.        Data Protection

 

Nottinghamshire Federation Bowls League (N.F.B.L.)  is committed to providing a safe and secure system in retaining and using members personal information

(DATA) in full compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

 

Clubs/Members are asked at initial application to provide accurate details of full name, address, email and telephone contacts.

N.F.B.L. will assume that all personal information provided is correct unless advised otherwise.   

 

N.F.B.L. will only retain personal details to assist in participation of bowls within our League and Competition structure and assist in members internal communication.

Under  NO CIRCUMSTANCES will N.F.B.L. release any personal details to a third party.

 

Members can request to view or update their personal data held at any time and apply to have this information deleted via the N.F.B.L. Secretary.

 

N.F.B.L. will undertake to review all data held on an annual basis.

 

 

10        CHANGES TO CONSTITUTION AND RULES

   Alterations to the Constitution and Rules will only be effected by a vote at the League   AGM.

  

Proposals for alterations in the form of a written ‘NOTICE OF MOTION’ must be       received by the League Secretary at least ONE MONTH PRIOR to the League    AGM

 

11     DISSOLUTION OF THE NFBL

 

The formal dissolution of the League shall be by Notice of Motion approved at the Annual General Meeting. 

 

All assets shall be sold and the nett proceeds, together with all other remaining assets, be given to a local charity to be decided upon by the Committee at the time of dissolution.

Latest Amendments: –

            2023   8         All trophies will be presented at the AGM for photographic purposes                             but then retained by the Committee.  Details of all competition trophies                            will be archived and a record kept on the website.
